Something To Think About

It seems that I am posting these quotes on Saturdays. Maybe I should call them, "Something to think about Saturday". Maybe? Maybe not. Depends on how motivated I get each Saturday. I'll, "think" about that. *chuckle*

This quote has brought me to take a moment to ponder the few talents that I have. Geneology isn't a talent (or is it?), but after reading this Erma Bombeck quote, that was the first thing I thought of. I've been slacking and I'm sure my long lost relatives are antsy. I need to think about getting back to it.

Think you don't have any talents? I've found that other people will quickly point out the ones that they see you have. You might not think you have certain talents, but if others bring it up in conversation, you can bet that they think it's something special about you.

Geneology is a talent I think... a spiritual gift for sure. When this life is over we know we'll be facing our ancestors... we want to say we did all we could to help them, huh? I enjoyed doing it in college, but I'm afraid this is just not the season fro me right now. Once the kids are older, I'll get that time back.
We always think of talents as being things like singing, dancing, playing an instrument- but there are so many other talents, huh. I do like if someone points out what they think my talents are- gives me perspective on what I do well so I can continue to work on it.

I think geneology is an amazing talent. It is something that I'd love to aquire a talent in someday.

I like that qoute, but what about the parable of the talents? :) Either way, we're supposed to use our talents and try to learn and grow. It's hard to think about our own talents, but you do have loads of them!
