Twenty-Ten?
Heaven forbid I die tomorrow and those left behind have to clean up my messes all over! I wish I had The Container Store nearby. It would really help with the mountians of stuff that I have.

Jillian and her posse

This last photo was funny to me considering Jillian has been soooo afraid of anything dead on a wall. Now she is all grown up and seems to handle it well. hee hee. Now I just need to get her to inch closer to Chuck E Cheese instead of hiding under the table. ;)

Happy Halloweenie
My friend Leslie sent me a few Halloween cartoons today. I thought this one was especially cute.
I know some people think Halloween is an evil holiday, but I love it. Ok, not the evil part. I'm not really into the super scary stuff (although I'm letting Brycen be a skull biker this year...don't judge me), but I love most Halloween fun. I like to watch scary movies and go trick or treating with the kids. I love to watch them avoid that one house because it's just too scary (Beth should know which house THAT is). I love to light up the pumpkins and our flying bat in the window. Fall is my favorite time of year. I only think Halloween is evil if someone makes it evil. It is what you make it. I choose to make it F-U-N :)
Happy Halloweenie :)

No foolin'
I'm not much of an April Fool's Day participator. Other than the time I told my Mom I was pregnant when I was just a young teenager. That did NOT go over well. Duh. I really don't have many experiences to share about April Fools. Do you?

Try it Tuesday.....Keebler Town house Flip Sides
Just a quick Try it Tuesday here. These Keebler Town house Flip Sides are not what I hoped they would be. If you like Pretzels, you will like these since I only taste the pretzel. Is there cracker with it? Coulda fooled me. But then again, the website says this:
New Town House Flipsides combine the versatility of a crackerSo I guess they are expected to taste only like pretzel. I suppose they might be good/useful if you want to spread cheese on them for an appetizer or something. But, I can get a bag of pretzels for a buck, so I won't buy these again. I didn't taste the cheese flavored one though. Perhaps those are better. Anyone have a review on that one? Let me know.
with the taste of a pretzel.
Just in case you're interested, here is the nutritionals for the Flip Sides (non-cheese):

Since it's almost Easter.....
Does anyone have a favorite Easter candy that they look forward to?
Mine is:

Rootin' Tootin' Christmas Gift
I have to back up again to December and teacher's gifts. If some of my regular readers (I know..short list..haha) might remember, I was going to make some "Rootin' Tootin" gifts for some of my kids teachers. It's more of a masculine gift, but it can go to anyone with a silly sense of humor. I thought I'd share a picture of the finished product along with the tag.
I put corrugated paper around the cans and stapled it tight. It doesn't look tight in the picture, but trust me, those cans weren't going anywhere! We then put it in a nice gift bag along with the tag attached to the back of the cans wishing them a "rootin' tootin' Christmas".
And a close up of the tag:
I guess Mr. Boyd liked the gift since the kids said he showed plenty of people. I love that it's not the average gift and can be humorous. We don't have much money this year and had several teachers, so it was neat to have something fun to give that didn't cost much. The idea can also be used for other occasions. "Have a Rootin' Tootin' Valentines Day, Birthday, Father's Day, etc.
I also gave some teachers truffles with the fun saying that Megan suggested: "We hope we don't get in "Truffle", but we had to give you something as sweet as you are!". I put the kids cute little faces on the tags with those. Thanks for the idea Megan!
By the way, I'm having trouble seeing any of my posts on my main page. I only see the header and right side area with photos etc. Can everyone else see my posts or is it just me that is having blogger problems? I only access them by using the Archives. Grrr.

Which direction do I go in???
I need some help! I realize I'm asking at the last possible moment, but I can't seem to come up with an idea for a teacher gift for my kids teachers this year! I am doing the, "rootin' tootin" one for a guy teacher (give a can of rootbeer and a can of baked beans with a tag saying, "Have a rootin' tootin' Christmas!"), but I don't think that one is appropriate for all the female teachers for some reason...hee hee.
I could use some ideas from you bloggers out there. I've looked at several blogs including the ones that I even posted about, but I'm just not feeling it yet.
I'm usually not too bad at picking out gifts like some people,
<----(think A Christmas Story), but I'm guilty of giving things in the past to teachers only to realize now that they probably didn't like them! Example: I've scoured the internet and have realized this.....teachers don't usually like to receive anything with apples on them, they don't like mugs, ornaments or even chocolate! I wouldn't dare give them an apple related thing but I've been giving them
Godiva chocolates for the past few years. Just a small box of them, but still better than cheapo chocolate. I'm still thinking that would be a good idea wouldn't it?? How can chocolate be a bad thing?!
I did read more than once that teachers enjoy getting thank you notes or any kind of handwritten card or drawing from the child. Hmmm.
So based on that, only thing I can think of to give Mr. B's 3 teachers is some sort of written note made in a nice way (digiscrap?). I was also thinking that it would be a good idea to go that way this year because I'm really low on cash. Thoughtful, yet cheap! That's me! My idea might include having him write a note to his teacher (who is our friend from church ya know) saying how he would spend a million dollars on her if he had it to spend. That could have cute results.
So what do I do for the girls teachers now? They are both in 5th grade and have several teachers. Keep in mind I'm not made of money, so gift cards are definitely OUT. I figure most people who will read this will have teacher gifts to give so.....can you help a sista out by letting me snag your idea?????????
